Dr. Jenya Katz, Seattle Veterinarian

Dr. Katz

I was born in Moscow, Russia, and raised in Southern California. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California Irvine. I then graduated with my DVM degree from the University of Florida, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Florida is where I met Barry.

After finishing school, Barry and I moved to Boston where I completed a 13-month rotating internship in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. We lived in Boston for another 3 years where I worked at a 24-hour hospital focusing on general medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and emergency care. In 2004 Barry and I moved to Atlanta, Georgia. For 7 years we lived there where I worked as a primary care day emergency Veterinarian at Georgia Veterinary Specialists.

In 2012, Barry and I decided to head back to the West Coast. We love Seattle and decided to make Madison Park our home. We are so glad we did! Barry and I absolutely love this community and our clients.

My passion is in emergency medicine; however, I do enjoy establishing long-term Doctor-patient relationships. The best part of my job is being able to make a difference in a pet’s life.

In my spare time, I enjoy working out, walking in the Arboretum, reading, and going to the movies. A little bit about our family. Barry and I have two human children. Sophie (8 years old) and Caiden (6 years old) are absolute joys and can sometimes be seen playing in our office. They also help out in the back, especially if one of our feline or canine patients needs some petting or hugging.

They both attend Ben Rush Elementary School in Redmond and they love it. We have a cat named Avanti who is 19 years old. She loves to eat and snuggle with the kids. Our other cat Bobo is 14 years old. She loves to be carried around like a stuffed animal. Unfortunately, we recently lost our sweet 15-year-old dog named Cody. He brought us so much joy and we miss him terribly.

I would like to thank all of our clients for being very welcoming and supportive. We look forward to building working relationships with our existing and new clients.
