Hospital Staff
Jessica Pederson, Licensed Veterinary Technician & Groomer
Jessica is a licensed veterinary technician, having worked with animals since 1999. Working in the animal care field presents many challenges, but Jess enjoys them all and likes the satisfaction of seeing patients recover from illness. Her industry specialization lies within dentistry and enjoys continued education to obtain the latest skills for oral surgery. Jess also works as our groomer for your furry critters, providing breed standard cuts, combined with full bathing and brush-outs.
As a native to the San Juan Islands, she is an avid fisher and has been featured with her catches in outdoor magazines in the past. Outside of work, Jess also enjoys watching movies and sports, both live and televised. She especially likes going for walks with her dogs Inca and Daphne, her newest addition to the family. Her animal companions also include three cats, Lily, Truck, and Turtle.
Autumn Wagner, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Autumn joined our staff at Madison Park Veterinary Hospital in May of 2011. She started working in the veterinary field as a receptionist back in 2008. She knew from the start this career field was her calling. She attended a two year veterinary technology program which included extensive internships at emergency and large animal clinics where she gained a lot of valuable experience. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Washington.
Autumn loves spending her free time working with our larger four legged friends. That includes riding her horse, training horses, and competing in equestrian shows on the weekends. Autumn pets include a paint horse Cowboy and a cat Leo.
"The Staff really sets this hospital apart with their genuine compassion and care for our clients and their pets. Dr. Teri Byrd has such a vast amount of knowledge and is always willing to share it with others. Her compassionate and friendly demeanor makes every client and their pet feel at home here. I'm very proud to be a part of this hospital."
Elena Kremer, Veterinary Assistant
Elena became a member of the Madison Park Veterinary Hospital staff in January of 2011, but began her career in the animal care field in 2008 by providing care for equines at a dude ranch. Elena has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of San Diego. Her future career goal is to attend veterinary school.
"First off," she says when asked what she enjoys most about her work, "I really like the staff and work environment of the clinic; it’s clean, organized, and everyone is a team player. I also love working with the clients and their pets, and knowing that they are getting the highest quality veterinary medicine. I consider myself lucky to work in such a wonderful hospital."
Elena is also a volunteer at PAWS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. At home, she has a Jack Russel Terrier, a Maine Coon cat and orange tabby. Her interests include horseback riding, hiking/walking, cooking, and exploring her new hometown of Seattle.
Megan Fouch, Client Relations Specialist
Megan joined our staff at Madison Park Veterinary Hospital in August of 2011. After obtaining a Veterinary Assistance diploma, she has been working in the veterinary field since 2006, as both veterinary assistant and receptionist. From a young age, she has always held a strong affinity for animals and enjoys the variety in her chosen career. She greatly appreciates working with an awesome team that provides high quality care and who feels the same way towards animal health and well-being. Helping educate people on ending BSL (breed specific legislation) is a cause that is close to her heart, as well as supporting the ASPCA. Megan and her husband, Jason, share a dog, Jasmyn, whom they consider their four-legged daughter. They also own a rescued gerbil, Henry Halftail who enjoys getting plump on sunflower seeds. In Megan's spare time, she enjoys making crafts and sewing "doggie haute couture" for Jasmyn, hiking, interior decoration, reading and just generally having a great time with friends and family. One thing she has learned from this profession is that pets may not be with you for your whole life, but they help make your life whole.

Jester McGee Hi, myname is Jester and i spend my days at Madison Park Veterinary Hospital. I have a tuxedo so I am ready for all occasions. My hobbies include holding down files and stacks of paper. I enjoy naps in the sun, welcoming new patients, and lounging in my kitty cabana. I am extremely environmentally aware and take recycling very seriously! :) I came to Madison Park Veterinary Hospital from Vashon Island Pet Protectors, a local rescue group. They have many fine kittens as well as full grown cats that are available for adoption. You can check them out at http://www.vipp.org/ |
